What this calculator does
Resize a recipe by multiplying every entered quantity by the ratio of desired servings to original servings. Units are preserved exactly as you enter them: the calculator does not convert cups into grams. Enter decimal quantities such as 0.5. Adjust cooking time, pan capacity and seasoning separately.
Formula, assumptions and sources
Each quantity × desired servings ÷ original servings. Cooking times, pan dimensions and seasoning may not scale proportionally.

Frequently asked questions
Can I halve or double a recipe?

No. Cooking and baking times depend on pan shape, depth, equipment and ingredients; they do not generally scale with servings.
