What this calculator does
Plan the ingredients for a target number of torches, chests, hoppers, bookshelves, books, sticks, ladders or rails. Recipes produce fixed output quantities, so the calculator rounds up to a whole number of crafts. It can expand supported intermediate recipes, while leaving unlisted ingredients such as planks and paper as inputs.
Formula, assumptions and sources
Standard vanilla recipes for eight listed items. Whole crafting batches. Expansion only supports listed recipes; planks, paper and other ingredients remain inputs. No inventory subtraction or modded recipes. Unofficial tool.

Sub-recipes round up to whole batches. Intermediate leftovers are not re-used across separate projects.
Frequently asked questions
Why does it produce more items than I requested?
Some recipes produce several items per craft. Whole batches can create a surplus, shown as leftovers.
Does it support mods or subtract my inventory?
No. It uses the listed vanilla recipes and assumes you need the full calculated quantity. Modded recipes and inventory planning are not included.
